Having problems connecting onto DC++

Asked by acecombat10

I have DC++ version 0.75. Everytime I try to connect to my home connection, I receive a message stating that UDP Port Forwarding is required. I was wondering if there is a way around this problem? The last time I attempted port forwarding, I had problems maintaining connectivity with the internet.

I have my router's firewall turned off (it's a Belkin 7230-4 router). Also, I have my computer's firewall set so that the UDP and TCP is not blocked for any port number. Finally, I have everything set-up and running for UPnP; all the diagnostic tests showed that this capability is running smoothly.

In my settings, I have firewall with UPnP checked with my TCP, UDP, TLS, and External/WAN IP fields clear.

Thanks for any help.
