Connecting/Registering

[14:01] *** Connected
[14:01] <Odin> YnHub version: 1.033 produced by Yoshi and Nev.
[14:01] *** News: 03/01/2009

The Hub is now encrypted. This is good for everyone, hooray.

The bad news? The hub had some errors and had to be reformatted.

The worse news? A /lot/ of registrations are missing. Text files have rolled back. Recent releases are dead.

YOU WILL NEED TO REREGISTER IF YOU FIND YOU CANNOT SEARCH WITH THE SAME SETTINGS YOU HAD PRIOR TO 3/1/2009.
The command as always is "+regme password" (without the quotes) where typing such will make your new password, password, so change it to what you want it to be.
OR!
Right click on the user list, integrated user commands, loki, register me.

If you don't remember your old password just use a new one, but remember to change the stored password in the Favorite Hubs window to your new one.

Remember to RECONNECT after you +regme, you are not registered until you rejoin!

Apologies folks.

Files will be rebuilt soon.

Unfortunately, this place can only help you with DC++ related-materials. Go to the YnHub forum, maybe they could help you over there.

you're confusing the "/password" command, internal to DC++, and the "+regme" command, which is interpreted by the hub. open the favorite hub properties of the hub, and remove the password you have in there - optionally, alter your nick too - so you should be able to get in without being asked for a /password; you'll then be able to set up a new one with a "+regme my-pass" command. once the new pass is set, the hub will ask for it when you connect, and you'll have to send it with "/password my-pass" (or DC++ can send it automatically if that new pass is entered in the fav hub properties dialog).

Can you help with this problem?
