Crashes when opening recent file down load

When I down load a file list, DC++ crashes almost every time. I have only had this issue in the last six months. I reported it last month but all I got for feedback was I am using too old a version (0.674). I explained that some of my share groups are comprised of my version or lower and if I upgrade to a newer version, I would not be able to share with them. Basically, I was told that this forum is not for those types of issues. Since the error message directed me to this site, I would assume that I can get a better answer than what I got.
