DC++

Prog crashes every time - after entering a few characters in the search - cannot find why - help needed.

Prog crashes every time - after entering a few characters in the search - cannot find why - help needed.
All other hubs and downloads work fine.
This problem started recently - I suspect other software clashing but even when I stop all other progs autostarting, and after areboot the problem still occurs.
I may be a registration problem but I don't know what to look for.

What version of DC++ are you using?

you mean, when typing characters in the search box in the search window? or when actually executing the search?

It crashes as I type.
I had another thought - could it be a memeory management problem or even faulty memory? - I notice that after DC++ has been running for a while the memory usage apears to increase over time. After a 24hrs the memory usage by DC++ is around 1.5 G Is this normal ?

I notice that shortly after loading DC++ the memory usage is much less.

This does not create a problem when it is left alone but when I try and search, it does not it!

memory leak isn't normal.
