Mapped SMB Network Drive doesn't appear

Asked by lucas

Windows 10 Home 10.10240 x64 running DC++ 0.865
SMB File Share mapped to Z:
Settings > Sharing > Add folder doesn't list the mapped drive. Browsing Network produces an empty list.

Two questions.
- Is there a good diagnostic / troubleshooting for resolving the missing drive letter?
- The drive is RO and has numerous files on it. The DL folder is set to a local drive. Can hash data be kept in a specified folder separate from the shared files and program data, preferably on the DL drive?

The folder dialog should show any mapped network drives, including even disconnected ones. It is a standard WIndows component so drives not appearing there for whatever reason is probably not an issue of DC++. However, you can easily test/diagonose/troubleshoot this by trying other applications that opens the same or similar dialogs for folder addition. If your Z: drive does not appear in other programs then the above applies.

For Q#2, please follow the Settings Files FAQ in the DC++ help or online at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html
