Out Of Segment, Only Complete Files Left

Asked by QRoX

I'm downloading rar files (a film in 70 + parts) and today I see the legend "Out of Segment, only complete files Left". How can I fix that? My client is DC++ 0,674

DC++ 0.674 is more than 3 years old, you have to expect odd problems with it. upgrade to a more recent version of DC++ and see if it helps.

Perhaps you are right, but if my version was good enough to download 37 parts out of 70, ¿Why today I have this problem? I'll try to get a newer version. Thanks.

as for the error message it surely doesn't come from DC++. could be an external program, like a firewall, that is messing with your connections...

I changed the client for a new one with the same results. No problems with a firewall, I'm downloading from other users in the same hub.

where exactly is that message being displayed?

In the field status, when I try to download a file, the message displayed there is "Out of Segment, only complete files Left"

I just checked the description field of the user (right side of the screen) and says there: 51200kb in segment size or no slot.

So I see that the problem is that I have to configure something, but I really don't know.

the person you are trying to download from seems to be using a client that blocks segmented downloads with too low sizes. this kind of thinking is retarded and totally out-dated by now; the main reason being that DC++ auto-adjusts the size of its segments depending on the speed.

you can:
- try to reason with the user, by telling him that there is no way to set the segment size in DC++, for the exact reason that segment sizes are adjusted automatically.
- or, if she really doesn't want to acknowledge it, and you have no other source to download from, you can disable segmented downloads by un-checking the corresponding check-box in Settings > Advanced - with the consequences that go with it, that is, that you won't be able to download from multiple users at the same time.

Can you help with this problem?
