prevent sharing file list?

I am fine with sharing -- if I have a file that somebody else wants, they can d/l anytime. I have a problem though when people use my file list to identify *thousands* of files and d/l them. Again, I don't mind sharing, but that's two year's work they just got in minutes. It seems like hiding the file list is the answer -- can that be done? Is there another way to prevent mass file transfers?

BTW, to be compatible with other users on the hub, I am using version 0.674.
