default download directory didn't exist, where did my downloads go?

Asked by ddtowers1

I used DC++ in the past and had the default download directory be an external I used. When I downloaded files this time I did not have that directory available for the files to go to and thus cannot find my downloads anywhere.... is there somewhere these would have gone if their default location is nonexistant?

eMTee suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #277: “I found my finished download stayed in the Unfinished folder with .dctmp extension. If I rename it to the original name and open it looks OK. How come?”.

Go to Settings / Downloads and the path to the unfinished download folder should be there in some box

Then mind to open the Help file where you can find all the reqired information including the default location of the unfinished folder (which is the DC++ program folder/Unfinished)

And if you use Vista (we don't know this either) then check out this faq, too :
FAQ #92: “I am using Vista and can't find my downloaded files or settings. Where are they?”.
