Suggestion: Changing The Color Background Default To Black Background With White Text

Asked by Twilight2013

In Appearance, Show timestamps in chat by default is enabled since DC++ 0.705. In Colors & sounds, black background with white text should be enabled by default. White background with black text can put a strain in vision sitting on the computer for a long period of time. I've noticed the majority of users in this forum & other websites have DC++ in black background with white text by screenshots I found on search engines sites like Yahoo, Google, etc. I hope this recommendation is taken into consideration in future versions even though it's not a bug-related problem & does not use too much CPU.

i myself also use a black background, i'm told it also consumes less energy...

but i believe default settings should remain "defaults", and nowhere have i seen white-on-black being a default. in Windows at least, and some nix distros i've tried, texts are always black by default. same for any text editor i know about (Windows' notepad, Vim, Emacs). then on printed stuff, generally papers are always printed black-on-white. now let's take Google itself, its default background is white.

while i agree that the change is nice, i think it's up to users to make it, and that defaults should follow common rules which, everywhere i've seen them, were always to have black text on white background.

Can you help with this problem?
