Connecting to a hub over ipv6

Asked by Anand

I have a adc hub hosted on my computer, and want to connect to it over ipv6 from a computer on the same subnet. But whenever I enter the ipv6 address of the hub in dc++, it gives me a "Address not valid in this context" error. In what format should I enter the ipv6 address? Does DC++ even have support for ipv6 addresses?

Thanks,

I'm able to connect to the hub if I give an ipv4 address (10.x.x.x)

Since IPv6 address is for Windows Vista, on your Connection Settings of your File, Settings, did you enter your current IP by going to http://www.dslreports.com/ip & enter TCP/UDP + TLS, if you are using DC++ 0.700+?

I'm trying to do this inside a LAN. So in my connection settings, direct connection is selected. And, as I said, it works perfectly well for an ipv4 address. It's only when I enter an ipv6 address that it gives the address out of context error.

DC++ doesn't support IPv6 yet.
