DC++

Can see the user list but cant see the users files

I'm new to DC++ and just downloaded the software and joined a private hub associated with my school. I cant download files form the other users in this hub. But i recently joined a public hub and when i click on a user on from the user list it just says im connecting to them, but it never connects to that user so i cannot download any files. If anyone knows how to fix this please help me.

I CAN download files from the private hub, not the public one...sorry

The problem is that you will need to use "passive, behind a firewall" in the connection settings for the public hub , you and the users in your shool hub are on the same subnet so there the active mode works , but that will not be the case in the public one :)
