disconnected as it says theres too many open slots for connection. how can i fix this so i can connect?

I keep trying to connect to DC, and it says it connects then automatically disconnects me saying theres too many open slots for connection.

This is what happens:

how can i fix this, so i can connect???

What version of DC++ are you using?

Go to File, Settings, Sharing, look for Upload Slot. You should open a minimum of 2 to 3 upload slots. Not double or more digit numbers. Or on any windows, as in hub/bot/private message, type /slots #. For example, /slots 2 and/or /slots 3.

Also, even if you use another client than DC++ the following faq will help you to find the answer for this kind of trivial questions :
FAQ #85: “I've just downloaded DC++ and started to use. I need docs or a step by step guide how to make it work correctly. Where can I find them?”.
