I get disconnected whenever I search for anything on the hub.

Asked by Rrhet

Hey-

I've been using DC for awhile now, and usually it works fine, but not today.

Everytime I connect, it works fine. Like, I can sit there and do nothing, and people can download FROM me. The only problem is that I can't search or download a single thing. Everytime I do, it disconnects me. I have no idea why. Well, I might.... For active users, is there supposed to be an IP in the IP thing? I checked online, and it said it should fill iti n, but mines always blank even though I have active checked. But I don't think its that, I mean, I think it was always like that.

Why is this happening?

Whats wrong with my DC. :(

I believe that you are behind some NAT and when you search ( and you also broadcast your ip address) the hub disconnects you because of the invalid IP supplied. Try entering your correct external IP into DC++ settings box ( you can see your ip on http://www.whatismyip.com )
But, this doesn't mean that active mode is going to work for you . How to setup active mode ( if possible in your case, otherwise use passive ) read the faq on http://www.dslreports.com/faq/6518

Can you help with this problem?
