DC++

same tth root in quene

i have downloaded dc++ numerous times and the same thing happens. i am able to connect and all users come up along the right side of the screen, but when i double click on them, none or their lists comes up. i have wait hours sometimes, and it always says connection timedout. it also says 'a file with different tth root already exists in the quene" i have no idea what this means and i have exhausted my options about trying to fix this. please help!

Then your settings are wrong, there is some FAQ covering this problem, try to find an answer there for the connection problem.

The TTH messages that you are getting in your system log is like this:

You have searched for one song on the artist name and the title of the song, you have chosen to download it so it is therefore in your queue, this file has one TTH. Then you are trying to download the same artist - title but this time the TTH is changed for some reason, so the file you allredy have in queue is not the same you are trying to download again even if you would think it is.

Always search for alternates with the TTH of that file since then you will know it is two identical files.
