How does the search function work?

One simple question

When making an active search does it continue making searches actively as long i have the search window open? And what is the searchintervals for active searches?

Yes it does keep on searches all the time you keep that window open, I am unsure what interval the client it's self has but I would say that most hubs control's the intervals for searches so no matter what your client sends out, it will be either ignored or allowed depending on when your last search was sent.

It is called spamcontrol when filtering searches due too to many in too little time.
When you sometimes joins a hub you can see a message that's informing you that only one search is allowed in 15 min's, If I happens to end up in such hub(s) I leave, that is a setting that's total unacceptable for me as a user.

my understanding is that it doesn't keep on searching; the search request is only sent out once, when you press "Search".

Poy's right. I am just about to update Help to make clear the way of searches. There are plenty of misconceptions floating around about this among DC users...

how is the keyboards shortcuts search most of windows benifits is in linux ubuntu take a tour didn't mention any of thoose how is the games graphic any differant enhancement for ubuntu to be tried ?
