says "TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified." due to a 'bad' file

Asked by mona

[12:36] TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.
[12:36] Failed to load certificate file
[12:36] File list refresh initiated
[12:36] File with '$' cannot be downloaded and will not be shared: ~$ysics Lab 8 - MP4.doc (Size: -1 B) (Directory: "C:\Users\Katie\Downloads\")
[12:36] File list refresh finished

That file is no longer in my download folder, and i never included a ~ or $ when writing the title.
I was just recently connected and everything has been fine.
the file was in there for a while, then i deleted it once this message came up and it still won't let me on.
I deleted it yesterday and since then I have restarted my computer a few times.

Check your Incomplete folder in the DC++ directory and remove the file even from there.

there is nothing showing up in download queue or finished download folders.
I have also searched my downloads folder for specific parts of the file name, and there are no matches.

If you open up your DC++ directory, often the path => C:\Program Files\DC++, do you have a folder named "Incomplete" there? Or if you have changed your settings under downloads, to that folder you have set the unfinished downloads directory (Incomplete) to be stored.

But even if you would have this file in your share or wanted to download it, it has no impact on how DC++ will function as it is only a status messages that's displayed there.

It's probably a hidden file from MS Word, go into that folder and from menu select Tools>Folder Options...>View>select "Show hidden files and folders" now you should be able to see that file.

Can you help with this problem?
