DC++ server interaction

Asked by aj

Hi

Say 1.2.3.4 at port 411 is a dc++ hub. I want to connect and retrieve some usage information from it. Say its uptime, number of users connected and if possible file list. So what would you advise me to do for this problem? One way would be to get a commandline tool to get that info. Can i achieve this by telnet'ing to the hub and firing commands. Any where i can get the protocol information?

Regards

To obtain hub specific information, I think NMDC uses $HubINFO or something similar
You can write a program that retrieves this information, using the protocol
( Try more googleing if that page is not enough )

If your hub is ADC, things are more simple since the protocol has a real specification ( http://adc.sf.net/ )

Can you help with this problem?
