DC++

Cannot Retrieve Other Users File Lists

I am able to connect to public hubs and chat with users and everything works fine. But when i try to retrieve a users file list the connection always times out and i am unable to open the file lists. Is there a certain setting i need or what could the problem be?

Most likely your firewall are blocking or if you have a router.

What firewall are you using? Have a look at http://www.dslreports.com/faq/dc/3._Setting_up

Make sure your IP is right,
that your firewall and/or router is set up properly (if you do have a router use this site: http://www.portforward.com./english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm )
and that your not blocked because you are connecting from an university or such.

I can double click on a user but the file list tries to connect but doesn't download. It eventually "times out". Also, If I double click on another user at the same time, a messge is displayed that says, "This file is already queued".
I have a direct connection on my home computer. I've checked the Windows Firewall and it is checked to allow DC++.
