finished files missing

Asked by MaDDMaXX

So I finished downloading about 15 files over night. All files were listed in the "finished download" window. I right clicked and went to "open" and the files didn't open. I also tried "open folder" and the files were not in the designated folder.

oh BTW I am using Windows Vista and it was an older version of DC++.

I did upgrade DC++ today and seems like the finished files are in the finished folders. But still doesn't explain where the previous downloaded files has gone. I've even tried doing a search on my harddrive.

Probably the older version wasn't able to save the files due to an access rights / Vista incompatibility problem. Now its nice to have your problem solved.
Btw if you have more than one drives its a good practice to set the download/incomplete folder to a place where you have the most free space.

yeah now that i updated the program all files seem to be properly saved to
the designated drives/folders.

im still getting used to vista. i see why people complain so much about
vista sucking. its quite a nice OS if you ask me. i think people are just
retarded or lazy to learn how to use it properly.

i for one.. enjoy looking at forums and finding out fixes.

thank you for asnwering btw :)
