DL speed and time left remain at 0

Asked by HadaHead

Not sure if this is just me or if this is a bug, but while i'm downloading, the status of the download never changes above 0B/s or time left of 0:00. Would very much like to know both of these, especially with large files. Is there a fix? Thanks.

Dear HadaHead,

I'd expect this to be a connection problem, either with your own, or the remote user. Is version 705 your first experience with DC++, did everything used to work at some stage? Is this only occurring with one user or all?

There might be something else at work. Does it start fast at all? Any other error messages?

No, nothing shows up. no error messages. iN just doesn't give me any information. The download still works.

Is it possible that you are downloading files with extremely high speed, I mean more than 1 MiB/sec?
If so your problem is likely that chunks are downloading so fast (less than 1 second / chunk) that the current speed measuring algorythm can't compute the average speed per chunk :P

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask HadaHead for more information if necessary.
