A problem with DC++ v0.705 - TCP/TLS errors

Asked by Keggsy

I've tried a few things to get my new version of DC++ to connect as anything but passive, but to no avail. I have a DLink 514 router and I have set up my TCP and UDP, but I can't find out how to edit the TLS port. I am therefore in need of any guidance. I read to have the TLS port as a different port number to the TCP and UDP but that didn't work.

Thanks

You will need to add a rule , just like you did for your TCP port, that forwards your TLS port to your internal IP address :) and indeed it needs to be another portnumber then your TCP one

I can't find anything about TLS on my router. The only options I have are TCP, UDP or both. I take it I am supposed to be looking in my router for it? Or is my router too old to have an option to control it?
Thanks for the help :)

i am also having problems with my active connection. i just ran 0.699 yesterday in active but now that i have the latest one it seems there is nothing i can do to search in active. searching and downloading is fine in passive, but who wants that? ive done everything i can think of. nothing is working.

keggsy, select TCP for the rule you create but use the portnumber you specified for your TLS port that should work normally, there are some routers (and i dont know if yours is one of them) that will still block the Secure protocol because they have a filtering firewall, so if it does not work with the TCP setting then use the "Both" and see what happens :)

Hands make your own question , that way you will get help :)

Can you help with this problem?
