With new DC++ version (0.699) connection problem arised

Asked by Aivars

Everything was working fine with DC++ version 0.474 (or so). Enwironment - Was in active mode, Windows XP, firewall with exceptions for DC++/ DC++TCP/UDP, wireless router with manual forwarding of ports and IP mapping, etc. Upgraded to version 0.699 and can't connect to SOME (most of) users (with available slots). Some are still fine, search works fine, but connection never happens (to some users). Tried with connection settings as "Firewall with manual port forwarding", tried to disable Windows firewall, added more available slots. Does not help. New feature of 0.699 (as I understand) is automatic connection when search finds a right file - for me it is dozens of "empty"connections, which hang and never happen (Message "Connecting ..." all the time).

I think you have a problem setting up active mode. Make sure you portforward the correct ports from your router to your computer , also make sure your firewall allows these ports. ( they are most probably different then the ones you were using on 0.403 ).
Also, try the latest version 0.705, which is the one most support is available for( will be marked stable soon ).

Can you help with this problem?
