URI links 3

Asked by ChelseyLS

I kept getting Error creating magnet registry key come up so I unchecked the box for the advance settings Register with Windows to handle magnet: URI links

Now I can search but only random files will show up in the download box at the bottom. And even if they do show up they don't actually download anything. Any idea how I can fix this?

You have two different problems.
The first with the magnet link is probably because your DC++ don't have enough rights to access that part of registry. (eg. when you run DC++ as a simple user in Vista)
The second seems to be a simple connection setup problem you can browse the questions here like 'can't search' or 'can't download' for a possible solution.
If you can't find a solution for your problem please tell us what OS and which DC++ version are you using.

Thank you for answering so quickly! I have Vista - how do I solve the first problem then? What do I change in my Vista set up?

I am using DC++ 0.705 and I'm not sure what OS is.

OS = Operating System.
You can try to run DC++ as Administrator or if it doesn't help wait for an answer here from somebody who has experience running DC++ in Vista.
Btw. if you don't know what magnet links are and you won't using them you should not be bothered with this error message it won't keep DC++ from connect, search or up/download.

Can you help with this problem?
