DC++

Slow upload speeds getting me kicked/banned

My current internet connection tests at 910kbs upload but when I'm on dc++, the regbot @ SecretGarden can't get a file list from me at the minimum 3kbs. Therefore, I get kicked and subsequently banned. I've got my upload slots at 3 and am only connected to the single hub. The speeds usually start off pretty good and then go steadily down. This is the same with most people uploading from me, although I get the odd person that manages to get files at much faster speeds. Any ideas? Thanks

It's possible your ISP is throttling DC traffic. What is your ISP?

You may want to try ADC hubs and see if the problem exists there too, as ADC may not be added to their throttle list.

(The occasional fast people may be located near you on the same ISP and are therefore not subject to the throttling)
