my hub won't show up in DC++

Asked by dingdon69

I have recently set up a hub with ptokax and I have added it to hublist.com and it shows up ok there, but despite trying loads of things, I can't see my hub on the public servers on DC++

All I want is for my hub to show up on the public server so other people can use it.

Hope you can help.

There's no such hublist server as hublist.com in DC++. Try to register your hub to the hublists available in DC++ by default.

that's strange, because on DC++ under configured public hub lists, it says dchublist.com and lists loads of hubs from all over the world. How do I get my hub to show up on that list?

this is my hub - http://www.dchublist.com/hub/edit/34199/

does that help?

It is still not showing up on DC++

yeah DChublist.com exists. hublist.com doesn't...

You have to wait until the hublist server adds your new hub to the list of downloadable hubs (ask the hublist support to know how much time might it take) then you have to refresh the dchublist.com hublist manually in your DC++.

It is also recommended to disable the Coral cache in DC++ while you refreshing the hublist since it can cause a few days of delay, too.

ok, so basically, I am being too impatient. I only added it yesterday. Many thanks for your help.

So DCHUBLIST is the only place I need to add my hub, right?

although if you look here - http://www.dchublist.com/hub/edit/34199/

it does seem like it is all listed. Do I just need to wait a few days?

Again, I'm not sure how much time you need to wait since we're the DC++ (client) support here. We're not associated nor have any connection to people running hublist servers.
Also I already told you what to do to make sure your hub is on the list DC++ downloads from a particular hublist server. If it's not there then please contact the hublist server support.

You can add your hub to any hublist you want to DC++. It currently has 3 hublist servers configured by default, one of them (hublista.hu) is out of service for a while and will probably be removed soon.

To see/confiugre hublists in DC++, go to Settings/Downloads/Public Hub List.
