'I have configured my router' active mode ip address

Asked by carmatic frua on 2014-06-20

I have a question about the 'I have no router/I have configured my router' active mode option
specifically, in my case, I have set up my router to forward all traffic to my computer

it seems that DC++ takes the LAN ip address reported by the network adapter, rather than the actual external ip address, if I leave the ip address field blank... this causes tons of hubs to disconnect me because of the mismatching ip address

my ip address changes periodically, do I have to manually update the ip address in DC++ all the time?

You can, for example use a free DDNS service for this the way it is explained in the builtin help.
