DC++

Lost fav hubs ect when down loaded latest version

I have downloaded the latest version of DC++ and I dont have any of my previous hubs or anything, its as if i was just starting from scratch again, any ideas please.

Im using windows 7 and upgraded to 0.831 i only installed the previous version for the 1st time a few months ago so guess it was the previous version to this

Type: installer or portable.
Portable: .zip file that you download and unpack manually
Installer: .exe, to install the application

I can't determine the cause of the problem unless you give me exact information. Upgrading to the same type of the application keeps all the data from the previous version except in some special cases when you upgrade from a really old release that was maliciously installed to an unsupported path.

Anyway the old settings files are not deleted in any type of upgrade. This FAQ tells you where can you find the settings files and shows you how to restore them : http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html

It was done through installer.
Will have a look at how to restore files
