No Users in Hub

Asked by EddieVedderIsKing

I am able to search for hubs and even connect to them. The problem I'm having is once I've connected to a hub there are no users shown in the room. So when I search for something nothing comes up, but I am "connected". I've tried changing the rule in my firewall with dc++ and even turning my firewall off when using dc++ but still no luck. What's the deal?

Check the question https://answers.launchpad.net/dcplusplus/+question/24347
"connected" means that there is a physical connection between you and the hub, it doesn't mean you are fully connected ( in a logical way ).

It;s not about you, the client must do that. I was explaining what the message means.
Check that question.
Also, this could be a firewall problem. check that you dont have more firewalls, or windows firewall, or some other program that may block it.

Would it have anything to do with being on a Universities wireless internet?

and if so....is there a way around their firewall. I don't think it is that because I've been using dc++ successfully up until the past month.

They might do traffic shaping on the DC protocol. Try connecting to some ADC hubs.

i dont know what ADC hubs means...also this comes up when I log in...
[15:18] TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.
[15:18] Failed to load certificate file

and I am still unable to "connect"...

The TLS certificates have nothing to do with connection problem. For this matter , try 0.704 version, this one should autogenerate a TLS certificate for you. Older versions like 0.69x don't do that.
ADC hub is a hub using the new ADC protocol. You can try looking into ADC hublists like www.adchublist.com for some ADC hubs.

Can you help with this problem?
