DC++

Is there a backup utility to back up all settings & files

HI. I"m sure this has been asked before and I did find the documents on how to do a manual backup, but I need to ask if there is or if there can be made, a utility to backup all files, settings, hubs, favorites, etc...

I notice that when you update from one version of DC++ to another, one option is to backup your settings... but i'm not sure where that is nor how to restore. But I figured, if the install can do it, how about a plug-in to do it too?

The optional backup created by the installer is in the %APPDATA%\DC++\BACKUP folder. It can be restored the way the document says (to be clear I am talking about http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html ).

A plugin for handling settings backups is indeed a good idea and has already been discussed shortly but along with other settings related plugin activities it would need to extend the current plugin API to be able to write the settings (currently it can only read them)...
