DC++

DC++ not working with Vista

Using Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit and DC++ v0.704 I am able to download Hublists but Searching returns no results.

I am configuring DC++ in exactly the same fashion that I always did with Windows XP.

I have turned off every single security application I have.

Just to confirm:
I have a static IP.
I have selected "Firewall with manual port forwarding".
TCP and UDP ports are identical and forwarded from my router.

As I say everything is configured exactly the same as I did with Winows XP and it worked with Windows XP.

Please help.

What is a TLS port?
I never had to forward this for DC++ to work with Windows XP.

Newer versions of DC++ use TLS for transfers, its a secure protocol. For downloading, it should be enabled.
Though, searching should work, since they come up on UDP.
Are you sure the right ports are set both in DC++ and in router ? And the IP address matches in DC++ with the static one you have externally ?
I don;t have vista but what i heard of, it works fine on it...

Make sure that the router is forwarding the ports ok ( open up some listening program on those ports and see if you can connect using external address ).

Hi Pietry. Good news :)

I have recently rebuilt my PC and my router had assigned it a different IP from the DCHP IP Pool.

For this reason I was forwarding my DC++ port to the wrong internal IP :-)

I have now resolved this issue and once again DC++ is working like a dream.

I have Vista Ultimate, I configured DC++as I did before, but, now, I'm connected at 42 hubs at the same time. So what shall I write in the sharring pannel? What changes I have to do more? In few minutes from starting DC++, sometimes it stops, windows said that will lokk for a solution, but.. nothing.
