Configuring DC++ for Home Network

Asked by romilnagrani

Hello,

My friend had DC++ configured and he mentioned that DC++ is a P2P file sharing software that runs smooth and is useful only when there are multiple users in LAN i.e. multiple users using the same internet connection from same ISP.

But I want to use DC++ for my Home connection that uses Broadband (Wi-Fi). How to configure DC++ to run in non-LAN network just like it runs in LAN network?

BTW, I have installed DC++, configured 2-3 public hubs. I am able to connect to those public hubs and see the lists of users (on right hand side of the screen). But then I'm not able to see the file list of those users. Moreover the search doesn't works. Hence I am also not able to download anything

Please help. Am I missing something?

Hi eMTee,

I just checked from the Url that you have provided that Windows Firewall is not blocking DC++. Also when i clicked Help--> About, I was able to see the latest DC++ version number.

Any clue why DC++ is not working properly?? Moreover, can DC++ allow downloads over wi-fi /broadband networks??

Thanks
 Romil
