Auto-connect hubs

Asked by Bob

How do I create two groups of hubs, one to auto-connect on start-up and one group to not? I haven't used dc++ in a long time. The older versions used to let you place a check box for those hubs you wanted to auto-connect to on start-up. Thanks

Unfortunately, the auto connect checkbox was removed some versions ago because the automatic tab restoration and connecting/disconnecting hub groups was thought to be cover all of these cases.
DC++ always restores the last opened tabs; you can place the two bunch of hubs into separate groups and then use the 'Connect to a favorite hub group' function to connect them. To avoid reconnect the other group at the next start, you have to disconnect them before closing DC++ which can be done by the 'Disconnect a favorite group' item in the Window menu.

This is the only workaround for DC++. If you find this cumbersome you can try to switch to other DC clients that keep using the old logic; I believe AirDC++ or ApexDC++ should still do.

You can also have your voice in the bug tracker of DC++ which may result a reconsideration of adding this function back in the old or some other equally easily usable way.

Can you help with this problem?
