IP and results

I have installed dc++, and to make an installation complete I tried to go to 'frequently asked questions' to get to dc homepage and find my IP address to paste it into the table of 'connection settings'. My attempt failed - the homepage was unable to be opened, Without it I can find no music etc. on dc, there are no results. I don't know where to find my computer's IP address. What should I do?

Go to http://whatismyip.com
That will show you your external IP address. This doesn't mean you can setup active mode, but it's a start. ( For active mode you need a personal IP , or a port forwarding to your PC ). Read the FAQ on how to setup active mode and if everything fails, fallback to passive.
