how to show full progress bar status instead of segment status?

Asked by vato76

how to show overall status of a file thats downloading or uploading instead of just the current individual segment status? i know that at the right in the bar it says like "177mb of 200mb" but how can i stop the bar from reloading over and over again and instead just show 1 bar that wont change until the file is done while still enabling segmented downloading?

Full download progress bars are shown in the Downloads tab in DC++ versions 0.811 and older.

The latest versions of DC++ have a revamped transferview that joins Connections and Downloads tabs so there's no need to switch tabs anymore.

In DC+ 0.820 and later you should see the download connections grouped to one transfer and this bar shows the overall progress of the file beeing downloaded.

For uploads, showing an overal progress is impossible since the uploader can request any parts (segments) of any shared file in arbitrary order, thus always the currently requested part of the file is shown.

There's no option to change this behavior.
