Had my pc worked on and lost all my hub addresses

Asked by James Hall

I had a tech work on my pc and he inadvertently deleted DC++. I have downloaded DC++ again, but don't have the addresses of my hubs so i can enter them. Also I don't know how to contact the hub owners to get the addresses.

Thank you, Jim

These links might be the answer to your question:

1. Why isn't hub XXX working? Why can't I connect to address XXX? https://answers.launchpad.net/dcplusplus/+faq/132
2. I can't connect or am banned from one or more hubs or I have a problem with a rule, user, etc.. in a specific hub. Can you help me? https://answers.launchpad.net/dcplusplus/+faq/90

<http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html> describes where to find old settings file, if they're still there (since the newly installed DC++ hasn't been able to read them, chances are they're gone).

in one of these directories, there might still be a directory called "BACKUP" which DC++ sometimes creates at setup time.

if you can't find any of these directories, ask the technician whether he has a backup of your system. also see if you can't restore Windows to a previous restore point.

otherwise, the only solution i can think of is to use a file recovery / "undeleter" program and hope (i wouldn't hold my breath, but it's worth a try) the files are still recoverable.

Can you help with this problem?
