how to organise uploads into folders

I have been using DC++ for a few months now and love it. I have downloaded a lot of information and uploaded a little myself, but not as much as i would like to because i have no clue how to organise the information into subfolders like others have on my network. I have lots of varying visual and auditory information to share but i dont know how to put the stuff i upload into separate folders such as music or movies. How does one go about creating something like a music folder where i can upload music folders into that music folder or movies into a movie folder? I am not very adept with computer terminology so a simple yet thorough explanation would be great. Again i love DC++ and want to do my part by sharing my information with my DC++ community.
