Try to (re)start the old version (0.802), connect to a hub and type the following command to the hub's main chat:

/rebuild

Wait until the following appears in the statusbar / system log: "Hash database rebuilt".

Exit DC++ and try to upgrade again to 0.810. Please let us know if it starts normally or not. Thanks!

I tried as you suggested. After sending the command to the hubis main chat I waited almost 10 minutes or longer the 0.802 remaind in this time frozen and nothing happend. I had to shut down 0.802 and start it again. I tried this 2-3 times with the same results.

I am in positive mode and while sending the command i was downloading from different hubs.

0. 802 is doing an excellent job. I hadn't had any difficulties withthis version. Bt i use to upgrade in the past without any problem. With .810 I faced to the first time the above problem.

Shall i wait with upgrading till my que file empty?

I refreshed my file list. There is an error hashing after refreshing. This is not new. I had it before.

DC++ 0.810 is converting your share to a new format at start. It's working for many people already upgraded, but something happens there in your case; and the fact that /rebuild doesn't work either suggests that your hash database is probably corrupted.
We're currently investigating another reported issue of this kind so if you wait some, empty your queue and try updating again, the result may help us.
Otherwise if you want to upgrade right now I suggest to delete your hash data files, upgrade and let DC++ rehash your share. This would eliminate any possible corruption.
It's up to you.

Btw. what kind of drive is that Windows asks you to insert a disk into? Is it some removable device, a card reader or some external drive?

Widows is asking for:
datadisk in Drive\Device\Harddisk3\DR3

Btw I have paused my queue and deleted my hash data files and then upgraded to DC++ 0.810. The results are the same. today i will do the same but before upgrading I will insert the (/rebuild command) first.

When this helps I let you know. Otherweise we have to try the team viewer possibility.

Thanks a lot for your prompt answers.

According to
https://www.google.com/search?q=Drive\Device\Harddisk3\DR3&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
this isn't a rare problem and it looks like a Windows configuration issue. Check out the results and can try to figure out what device could be the problem. Try to detach it or if it's not possible then try to put a readable media to it.

What bothers me is why does it happen with an empty hash database. Are you sure you deleted both hash storage files (hashindex.xml & hashdata.dat)?

I deleted only the files I share completely . There is no files to share there. But my queue is still there paused!!!!

I don't know how to check if both storage files (hashindex.xml & hashdata.dat) are deleted completely.

Ah. Removing the shared files does not help in this situation since the references to the formerly shared files aren't removed from the hashindex.
To find the DC++ settings storage folder where files hashindex.xml & hashdata.dat reside, follow http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html I meant you should delete these files manually.
As a side effect, your share will be completly rehashed if you delete these files.

Upgrade to DC++ 0.810 is now succeeded. Hurra!!!!

I didn't follow your last remark. I wanted to try to upgrade withgout attaching any USB-Divices and after i inserted the /rebuild command. This worked successfull. I then rebooted my PC without any USb devises connected. I insertet a readable CD in my drive. Then upgraded to DC++0.810. No windows showed up and Dc++ opened successfully with my queue list. I have now to rehash my shares.

I will follow up commenting on this if i found any problems after this successful upgrade.

Thanks a lot for now
