Files being directed towards dekstop.

Asked by AJD

Everytime I look at a user file list, download a file, basically do anything on DC++, all of these .xml files and folders get directed towards my desktop. This hasn't always been the case, they usually went to my downloads folder. I know how to set a path for a download so it goes into the correct destination, but how do I stop all of the xml files and 'Incomplete' folders from popping up on my desktop when I am simply browning user's files?

EDIT: This is getting extremely aggravating. Anywhere I go on DC++, user files, favorite hubs, download lists, etc. there are files being created on my desktop, usually .xml. Like I said this never used to happen and just started happening. My desktop gets filled with files within 2 minutes of searching around DC++. Please help.

Do not install to / start the DC++ executable itslef from the Desktop. Use any other folder and create a link to the desktop instead.

Can you help with this problem?
