how do i connect to a private hub. I have ID & paswrd

I was given a ID and passwod to access a private hub in DC++ but I have not been successful doing so. I'm sure it's a setting or slight adjustment I need but I''m at a loss where to begin. thanks for any help

If you don't know how to set up a favorite hub then I suggest to be familiar with the basics of DC by clicking the Help menu and select Get Started.
If you already set up a hub and it gives error messages then please paste them here.
In any other case the above linked FAQ applies.

I am familiar with the basics of DC++ . . . and have been a member for 6-7 years... this is the message I get when I click on "connect" for the private hub which I HAVE set up within my 'favorites'...

I have a similar message when trying to log in to a private hub. Worked flawlessly for a year until recently. It says...

"[04:23:16] *** No password was required/provided at login, disconnecting hub. (Setting @ AirDCpage)
[04:23:16] <deleted hub name> This server is running Luadch v0.08 rev282 (Uptime: 67 days, 8 hours, 11 minutes, 58 seconds)"

Had to delete the hub name in the second row.
