cross platform core

Asked by axet

Hello!

I'm working on network media center and looking for DC++ cross platform library.

It would be step forward to see this project provides and support for completely standalone cross platform core library (not like right now dcpp folder with scope make files).

What do you think?

hey,

this is certainly a good idea, one that has always been in the back of the developers' mind.

but so far, it hasn't gained much momentum. part of the reason is that Linux derivatives of DC++ are already able to make use of the dcpp lib with few modifications.

if you are starting a new project based on DC++, feel free to drop by the public DCDev hub and have a chat! ;)

i belive the main goal of this project is to make dc++ technology be more distibuted over the idea of having shiny client.

by setting priority of buliding that library it will brigng new fresh air into this client and will combine all developers team to focused on things they are doing better.

staying apart of this idea will slowly kill dc++ as it is.

some may build good gui. some good library. no one know dc protocol better then dc++ team. and if they do not understand it it may break comunity apart. what was already done once.

why take the same mistakes twice?

Can you help with this problem?
