Magnet links at hub are not clickable

Asked by Joseph M. DeLisa

I belong to several DC++ comics hubs. They produce "hitlists" of recently available files, some of which have magnet links. I have been unable to use the magnet links. Those who are able to use them indicate that they should appear in color and be highlighted; in my DC++ window, they appear the same as all the other text (black and white and non-highlighted) and are not clickable. Hovering the mouse over the links produces no effect. I have received NO error messages from DC++ regarding an inability to register the magnet link handler with Windows, and, in fact, when I click on web-page magnet links, Windows offers DC++ as a client to handle the link. I have searched through the settings, and see nothing relevant to magnet links except the setting to enable DC++ to register with Windows as a magnet link handler, and that is checked. I have not found this issue mentioned in the forums, nor in a google search. I am running version 0.782 of DC++. Please advise. Thanks.

Unlike other DC clients, DC++ doesn't support text highlighting nor hovering effects. You can open the links by double clicking them.

But as I said, the links appear as plain text and are NOT clickable (for me); other hub members are able to click them.

Turns out the normal-looking text links are in fact clickable, and work. Sorry all. Problem solved.
