reconnect

Asked by bolke66

I'm trying to turn off the option that reopens all the windows that were open when I last closed the program. It is really annoying, if I want to connect to a hub when the program starts, I'll put it in my favorites! :S
Right now I either have to close the hubs I do not want to reconnect to or use the shift button during start up. Both are annoying.

The thing is I sometimes connect to hubs where you have to stay in for at least a certain amount of time or you get banned. I don't want to autoconnect (reconnect) to those.

You mean when you open DC++ all hub-s in favorite auto connected, you not want thet? Open favorite window
"ctrl + f" and to tick off in box from "auto connect".

no, I have explicitly put the hubs i don't want to autoconnect in a group that says, 'Do not autoconnect'. That is not the problem. when I close all the tabs before closing dc++ I do not get connected to the hubs when I restart. However when I do not close them, dc++ reconnect to them.

Go tu settings -> advanced -> automatically follow redirects and tick off in box

It is not about redirecting.
For example if i have if I have the tab "completed downloads" open and I close dc++. Then when I start DC++ I get the "completed downloads" tab again. I do not want that

Thanks for your time, but I still can not solve this problem. seems like this is not an options but a standard setting

Try close all windows or in toolbar buttons.

this is by design and cannot be short-circuited. the idea is that opening / closing DC++ should not affect the status of the inner windows.

you may be interested in using the "Window > Close all hubs of a favorite group" menu command to close a pack of hubs all at once.

on a side note, regarding your last paragraph, it looks like you only care about some hubs for the additional download sources they bring you but not for their community. that is borderline leeching.

Thanks, now I at least know my problem can not be solved.
On your side note: I just don't want to connect to those when I know I can not be online long.
