Policy on Redistribution of DC++?

Asked by Blake Madden

We recently received a request to add DC++ to the Spoon.net app library. If you’re unfamiliar with Spoon, we offer the ability to launch desktop apps from the web with no installs.

We’d like to partner with the DC++ community to offer DC++ on Spoon. I understand that DC++ is free under the GNU GPL 2, but in the interest of transparency and cooperation with the dev community, we would like to get written permission to distribute DC++ on our site.

Please let me know if this is possible, or if you have any further questions. Thanks.

You have already noticed that DC++ is GNU GPL v2, so it's perfectly fine to distribute DC++, as long as you abide with GNU GPL (supply or offer the source code).

Can you help with this problem?
