DC++

when tryiong to get file lists it says connection timed out

I have no other problems with DC except , everytime I try to get another users file list it says connecting.. then goes to connection timed out... I wasn't having this problem until the other day. I've been using DC for aboout 3 weeks now. Thanks for any help in answering my question.... I do run through a router a netgear its pretty much plug and play because I never had to configure anything when I got it.. just pluged in everything and it works. Also running Windows Vista home prem. Thanks again.

I am not able to get download lists either due to timeouts. I can get public lists and I can download latest DC++ just fine. But I cannot get lists from hubs once I am in the system. My firewall is set up to allow DC++ full access for both public and private access to the net but still nothing. Can someone please help and explain to me in a way that a none computer guy can understand?
