All favourite hubs autoconnect all the time.

Asked by Verne64

I'm using DC++ 0.761 on windows 7, 32bit. It keeps on automaticaly connecting to all the hubs in my favourites. I deleted the premade (imported from previous version) group and made two groups, but it doesn't matter if I change the auto connect setting. It will auto connect to both groups on startup regardless of the checkbox. Is there a setting overriding the group setting?

When using just three hubs the whole group option seems quite redundant by the way, I liked the old auto connect checkboxes better.

Close the hubs before exit, they won't be opened at the next start if the autoconnect is disabled for their groups. Read more : http://dcpp.wordpress.com/2010/03/26/dc-0-76x-improvements-in-detalis-part-one-gui-reloaded/

It doesn't work for me either. Doesn't matter if it's favourite or a randomly public hub choosen from the hublist. It automatically opens everytime i start dc, the same with filelists and pm's. Only way to get rid of it is too close everything before i shut down dc.

Running latest version.

The answer is in the blogpost linked above. Read it again. Yes, all opened windows are reopened at the next start regardless of their type so you can start where you're finished before. If you need you can quick close windows using the Window menu.

Thanks for the answer!
As a comment I would like to add, I think it would be better if all windows closed at exit. Having the auto connect option to me is all about choosing which hubs open at startup, without having to think about it everytime I close the program. Now when I forget to do this once and open DC++ to tray, my upload limit will often be reached in a couple of hours, leaving me with a slow connection for the rest of the month. I understand this is my own responsibilty, but an option to just start with only designated hubs everytime, would be very usefull to me.

Keep up the good work!

I completely agree what Verne64 just said. I don't see a point having all windows saved if you do a clean restart of the program, as it were a session manager saving the last session without even asking for the permission to do so. The autoconnect hub function is there for a purpose, choosing which hubs you want to be connect when starting dc++ and as the said problem above it makes it obsolete.

Can you help with this problem?
