To few slots open, in to many hubs, how to solve?

Asked by maaike

When I start DC++ it says this:

<DCH++> [HubRules] You have too few slots open or you are in too many hubs. This hub requires that you have 2 open slot(s) per hub.

And then the connection is broken. How can I open more slots so I can download again?
I already putted the enable segmented downloading out.

This is a slot ratio hub, as in 1 hub = 1 slot, 2 hubs = 2 slots, 3 hubs = 3 slots, etc. If you are using the latest version of DC++, on the bottom of your screen there's 0/0/0 then Slots: #/# you can click up/down to increase/decrease number of upload slots open. If not, go to File/Settings/Sharing look for Upload Slots where you can click up/down to increase/decrease number of upload slots open & hit OK. Also, main/bot/private message windows, type /slots # as in /slots 1 etc.

If there's a hub with a slot/ratio policy, you should avoid those kinds of hubs. Go to a hub where there's a no slot/ratio policy if you have very limited connection. Some users would open 2 upload slot minimum & 3 upload slot maximum.
