Error when sharing: Direcotry is hidden

Hello,

after updated to 0.761 version I have problem with sharing. When I am trying to share whole hd (witch is connected to esata slot) I am getting error: "Directory is hidden". I have got few hidden dirs on this hd, I have unchecked option "share hidden files" and I didn't have this problem with 0.75 v. Hope you can help me.

There was a change in 0.761 about handling hidden directories because of the following bug report : https://bugs.launchpad.net/dcplusplus/+bug/338888 , however if the Share hidden files checkbox is disabled you should not get that message ever. I tried to add a whole drive containing hidden directories in different levels to the share the with the checkbox both checked and unchecked, it works as it should for me. I am on XP 32 bit though....

...and make sure that none of your folders starts with . (dot) because DC++ treats them hidden folders as well.

Thank you for answers. I have one folder which starts with ! or ~ (and it's hidden), I don't remember right now, I didnt take this hard drive with me to my home for Easter. I will check it and write about it in next week.

We have just fixed a bug which can be related your problem. Here is a test exe, you can save to your DC++ program folder and overwrite the old one : http://www.sendspace.com/file/0hgst8 Please confirm if it solves your problem. Thanks.

Ok, it looks like this:
old DCPlusPlus.exe (0.761v):
- checked 'Share hidden files' - cannot add drive,
- unchecked 'Share hidden files' - cannot add drive.

Fixed DCPlusPlus.exe:
- checked 'Share hidden files' - CAN add drive,
- unchecked 'Share hidden files' - cannot add drive.

Now, when I have my drive added I can uncheck 'Share hidden files' and everything looks ok, total size of sharing folders came down and I hadn't get any error and ppl can donwload files from this drive etc. BUT for example: when I am trying to change name (after unchecking the box) of this shared drive (in dc settings->sharing) I have again 'Directory is hidden' error and the drive is not being shared any longer, what is more, my total size of sharing folders is still the same (it is not getting down)

P.S. I don't have any folders starting with dot, but I have few files which are starting with dot.
