corrupted queue

Asked by jimmysjostrom

My queue.xml has for some reason been corrupted. I cant open it in any editor. Is there any way to save the info in the queue? I would not bother with this if it wasnt for the queue being a bit large... I use 0.75 version and xp.

Did you try to copy the file to another location? What editor you tried to open with? What error message you get?

it says: DCPlusPlus.exe - Corrupt file
It is corrupt and unreadable.... Please run the chkdisk utility.

I cant copy it... or rename it etc.

I tried xmlfox, cooktop, xmlcopyeditor, oxygen....

Why would you need to copy the executable (DCPlusPlus.exe )? You need the file Queue.xml only, the queue is stored there. If queue.xml can't be read by the operating system then you probably lost it... maybe you can try to use some file system recovery tool to salvage it out. (and .xml files - beeing in plain text file format- can be read/edited by any text editor, even in Notepad)
