Static DLL

Asked by John D Williams

I've successfully built cuneiform 1.1 on windows 7. I haven't messed with it much yet, but it works, and I think it's pretty cool what you guys have done with this project. So, is it possible to build cuneiform.dll as a static dll that I can easily distribute with another program? I read somewhere that this was not possible with the original cuneiform windows source so I haven't even tried yet. However, since this is a port of that old source, I thought it might be possible now. I know this is a linux project, so sorry for the windows-specific question, but any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Hi,

I'm afraid, it's still not possible due to symbol clashes at the moment. Also, currently the port is unmaintained, so no hope of getting this sorted out anytime soon, unless you fix it.

HTH.

Can you help with this problem?
