change plasma theme ubuntu 23.10

Asked by sharpie

I'm creating a "use specific" distro for myself so that I don't have to do full reinstalls of all my Astronomy software etc when I inevitably remove the wrong folder while "tinkering under the hood" of Ubuntu and distro hopping. I've only used linux for a couple of years, know nothing about any programming languages but I'm getting there when it comes to understanding what I'm doing when I copy and paste commands from websites. Having to do full reinstalls is getting less frequent tbf and mostly comes down to a poor backup plan and impatience. Anyway...life story done.... basically I am a total noob at modifying Ubuntu .iso's but I'm progressing well.

I've got everything I don't want stripped out and the software I do want added in. The test iso's all boot fine, all the software works. I think I've finally found the correct way to get the themes copied to the right place....I just don't know how to apply them as the main theme when the system first boots after installation. can anyone tell me how to apply the "Sweet" plasma theme at it's default settings please ?

I'm modifying a Kubuntu 23.10 amd64 iso btw.

Sharpie,

Please use the main web site to ask questions.
You can access it via the application menu in Cubic's headerbar.
(I'm more of an expert on modifying the Gnome Shell theme, but I might be able to give you some guidance for KDE, or someone else may step in and offer help if you post your question there).

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask sharpie for more information if necessary.
